The Curva Sud contained a myriad of groups and coteries, which is good but they all shared. Formed mostly by people of the district, each threw his choirs without coordination. Progenitors of the movement in the South Curve Ultras of the Curva Sud were the guerrillas, the Fedayn the Boys, the Pit of the Wolves, active since the early 70s.
On 9 January 1977 (Roma-Sampdoria 3-0), following the example of the first groups of ultras who were busy (as mentioned, among the first, the Ultras Granata), all these groups (guerrillas of the South Bend, Panthers , Boys Fossa dei Lupi) decide to join: the birth of the Commando Ultras Curva Sud The Commando (which usually took away the little stripe Ultras Roma) was an ultras group in the true sense of the word: the stickers said "With the heart in south, with the bars in the north and there were certainly represented Donald and Chip and Dale. And forget it the writings that were read on the walls of Rome! The leader was Geppo, which stand side when there was. From 1977 to 1987, CUCS has made school in Italy and the world continued supporting at home and away, all lined up if there were problems, no relation to the AS Roma. It was another kick, it's true. Pruzzo ran under the South after the score, it's true.
Until 1985 the police when you go away it's true. However there was good people and we were respected.
All crashed in the summer of 1987, when it comes Manfredonia. The Curva Sud, prior to purchase, is compact in asking Viola not to buy it, because guilty of defamatory statements against the Roma fans and sentenced for selling games of the team he had always played and he was a fan, Lazio (think of that character). Remember the banner of fifty meters "Viola, there Manfredonia vomit" and "Viola buy all but the sold"? So, before purchasing the curve was unified in rejecting it. Unfortunately, Viola decides to buy and the Curva Sud crash. Alas, forever. CUCS is divided into two parts: the founders (or rather, most of them), give life to the GAM (Group Anti-Manfredonia) which is nothing, however, that the Commando Ultras Curva Sud "historic", while the minor part of them, after putting out the curve a flyer that says "The Commando has moved," putting on the walls "historical" side of Monte Mario, and give life to
"Vecchio CUCS. Even with this small but clever trick this last group acquires a remarkable consistency and, gradually, a significant organizational capability.
Il Vecchio CUCS believed that since Manfredonia has become of Rome, which you hated or loved it, could not be booed, and so thought the majority of the South (today it makes you smile when you consider how the same curve has treated Delvecchio), despite all that had happened, and despite the character. CUCS-GAM, however, wanted to remain faithful to the original line ("Executioner Manfredonia, we'll never love") and with his stripes ("Give us Manfredonia shares") continuing to challenge Manfredonia since pre-season and much of the championship proper. The most serious trouble happens at the Genoa-Rome September 2, 1987 Italian Cup at the Stadio Flaminio: when the CUCS-GAM raises a banner that read "Unworthy, Take off that shirt, "a violent brawl broke out among hundreds of people and we also escaped a couple of stab wounds. To tell the truth, if we really want to be honest, the CUCS-GAM (fischiatissimo when challenged Manfredonia) was attacked by most people of the South and the banner reduced to pieces. To clarify even more ideas on this important step, take a cue from the book "Forza Roma, Daje wolves" by Marco Impiglia: "... the CUCS split in two: one group headed by Malfatti and including excellent organizers as Elio Nunzi, Peter Uinni, Marco Bartolini, expressed himself in favor of the decision of the President, the stance of the Italian club Roma; another, led by the charismatic and thirties, including almost the entire leadership group (among others: Venturelli, Scarciofolo, Roberto Molinari, Gianluigi Frea, Franco Nicastro, Roberto Cucculelli, Massimo Dolce, Luca Lagana), was against company guidelines. Malfatti
group took the name of Old CUCS, that of Trent was called CUCS-GAM. THE Gam tried in vain to obtain an official apology from Manfredonia during the withdrawal of Sterzing .... The championship began with the clear vision of the split took place in South Bend: the Monte Mario Vecchio CUCS-side and side CUCS-GAM Tribuna Tevere were divided evenly space. After a complaint-based songs (in a wrecked brawl with a visit to the police station [speaking of Rome / Genoa, ed]), and thirty companions changed strategy and ushered in a "strike of typhus, which he left in silence for an official apology to the South half of Manfredonia, occurred in November 1987. Returning to the question Manfredonia, the relationship between the two groups in the South remained tense. Personal disagreements and dislikes of an economic nature (the patent office to register the mark CUCS by the Group of Thirty) prevented a real reunification of the Commando. Il Vecchio CUCS had the advantage of representing its pro-government line, close to the Italian club Roma and AS Roma. Finding space in the journal "Roma" [Journal of the Society, ed.] Many new sections, "foreign," especially in central-south, sticking to them. CUCS, had fewer sections, but possessed of original brands (the famous scarf CUCS Roma) and a good relationship with Viola. CUCS also ensured a grandstand in the journal of Francesco Campanella Magica Roma ", trying to maintain an ongoing dialogue with the Rome club."
Obviously from that moment (and, in my opinion, this is where the kick-start industry: EVERYTHING 'POSSIBLE, because people let it all possible) everything changes: all the groups go back to the original positions : I Fedayn, that although they had always been a bit isolated always took part in the activities (their great '70s motto: "to destroy everything that is not yellowred "!!!), no longer taking part in the songs and support for their own, the Boys take out their new banner, the CUCS-GAM to defend the Old CUCS claiming the paternity of the Commando Ultras Curva Sud by a notary public's name and refrain from cheering when Manfredonia in the field, claiming the choice for heart reasons.
As mentioned, the Old CUCS, in turn, moves to the wall "historic" South side of the curve and consider the Monte Mario CUCS-GAM as gone out. But now the division is complete and does not help that the "dull" to stop playing problems heart. The hardest wing and radical CUCS GAM, the cry of "Rome and glory," is separated by forming "factions", elite group that refuses any contact with other groups, "guilty" of having betrayed the ideals ultras. Meanwhile
politics enter into the curve and the South from "red" that was in the '70s moves increasingly toward the right. Even if the supporting back together, much of the old ultras give up and take back disgusted. The most radical of the guys who do not identify CUCS more in the group give birth to a multitude of groups that are formed on political (and that's why flourish Celtic crosses) or friendship. In the 1993/94 season is the Commando reunified, or rather, some of the greatest exponents of the former CUCS-GAM decide, "for the good of Rome to meet with the members of the Old CUCS. But now it's over. The group is experiencing a slow but steady decline and can no longer as a time to take hold on the "new generation". The situation has changed dramatically in the first match of the indoor championship in 1999/2000. During Roma / Inter there is a "changing of the guard 'a bit turbulent states that the final decline of CUCS.
The two leaflets, one of the newborn group, which has prevailed in the lower part of the curve formed by the merger of the groups that were at the bottom of the curve and that are indicative of CUCS to understand the friction and the reasons for the disagreement.
During the first three seasons at the helm of the curve AS Roma Ultras were able to give her an identity that had been lost by inventing new songs, taken from various supporters throughout Italy and in Europe, and choreographed cheering so, without the drums that had characterized the South until 1999. The history of asru seemed to have closed on the rise, with the declared disbanded on 1 March 2002, when the parliamentary party had realized that the new dynamics of ultras groups present in the curve did not allow more to reach your goals. However, given that no group has since come forward to take the reins of the group curve is reconstructed, strengthened in the summer the same year but the personal rancor and dissension in turn linked to different conceptions and supporters ultras way of being still in the 2003/04 season to prevent having a curve completely united and the same AS Roma Ultras undergo internal miniscissioni. At the Rome-Messina, the AS Roma Ultras do not expose more the banner, in fact it melts. The reasons for the termination are multiple difficulties to continue to serve as the steering group, warnings, lack of commitment of the rest of the curve, disagreements with other groups and so on.
